What?

We are learning about the UEN website and the tools that we can use to help our students know the assignments and have success.

So What?

This means that we as teachers can put all of our projects on this website and then we will be able to access it anywhere there is a computer. It is also going to allow the parents to be more connected to this children's education. They will be able to see their children assignments online. We are learning about these things so we can be better prepared as teachers and so we can help us be more organized. This technology is something that is going to allow all teachers to teach better. It is going to help the students that are visual learners to see the assignment and instruction. It is going to allow students with different learning styles to understand and have success.

Now What?

This technology is going to affect future students in many ways. It is going to allow them to double check the assignment given in class when they are at home. They are going to be able to see examples of how to do the problem when they are doing their homework. It will allow them to review for tests and quiz when they are home with the teachers notes. This information will allow me to use up less time in explaining and reviewing and more time on teaching and making sure they understand the main principles that are included in the instruction. When I am a teacher I can have an assignment where they have to go online and give one interesting fact about me from my uen page and then they also have to give one document that from the website. This would show me that all of my students could get on to my uen page and it would show me that they know how to use it.

What?
We learned about the importance of technology in the the teaching process. We also learned about the benefits and disadvantages of using technology in teaching. We watched some videos that show us what technology can do to help the students learn.

So What?
This information affects me in many ways. I am a history education major so I am going to be struggling with trying to teach history in a fun and interesting way. Technology will help me to have the students experience history in a new way. They will be able to see virtual reenactments and take virtual tours of the important areas and thing that we are talking about. This will help them relate to the people in history which will allow them to understand history better. We are learning about this and doing this because it is so important to capture the students interest because if we as teachers have the students attention they will learn more and have a better attitude about learning. I can apply this to my classes that I have this semester so that I can succeed in these classes. If I get interested in my classes I have not I will try harder and what to get a good grade in the class.

Now What?
This technology will help the future students to be better rounded in all areas. It will also help the future students to learn the important of all the subjects that we have them study. This information will change teachers in many ways. The main way is that teachers will have to be educated in the use of technology in teaching. It will be a hard change be it is possible. I belief that this information will help the future of teaching.
